¹“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. ²In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? ³And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. ⁴And you know the way to the place where I am going.” ⁵Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. Do you want to know God?  Study Jesus.  Read the gospels.  Listen to the words of the Son of Man and put them into action. 

As a preacher, my role is to lift up the body of Christ, to know Jesus and to help all follow Him.  Yet today’s society keeps reinventing Jesus in our own image, often to support our beliefs (including political).  This has happened before and will again. 

So go back to the source.  Read the gospels.  Put Jesus at the center of all scripture.  Do not just ask “What would Jesus do?” rather find out and live like Him.
