Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Our church will hold Kid’s Camp this week with a superhero theme. The verse for the week is Joshua 1:9 so I thought it would make a great meditation.
So often we go through life afraid. We allow fear of failure, fear of disappointing others, fear of backlash, even the fear of success. These fears hold us back from becoming all God calls us to be and impacts our lives in a negative way.
Yet just as God commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous as Joshua took over for Moses, God calls us to be strong and courageous in our lives. It doesn’t mean we have to get our way all the time, it does not mean we should be over-zealous, it means we should have confidence in ourselves when we walk with God, for God is with us.
As you journey through this week, be strong, be courageous, be mindful of God’s presence, and let go of all that holds you back.
Peace
Pastor Bill
